Our project ‘The People of St Peters: Encountering a Community from 19th-Century Blackburn’ was nominated for Rescue Project of the Year at the 2026 Current Archaeology Awards!
This incredible excavation was one of the largest cemetery excavations of its kind outside of London, and revealed stories from almost two thousand men, women and children who lived and died in Lancashire around 200 years ago.
