Project Manager - Fieldwork
David joined Headland in May 2015, helping to establish Headland’s Yorkshire & North office in Leeds. David’s career in commercial archaeology has spanned 23 years, including project management of both archaeological works and geophysical surveys at Margaret Gowen & Co Ltd, an archaeological consultancy in Dublin, and also at ASWYAS in West Yorkshire.
In his current role David has responsibility for tendering, designing, negotiating and implementing programmes of archaeological work including assessing and identifying archaeological risk on a range of development site types. Recent examples of Davids management work include evaluation and mitigation works along two 60km onshore cable corridors for off-shore windfarms in East Anglia, and an archaeological works package for improvement works along the Wansford to Sutton section of the A47, undertaken for National Highways.
